I am tired of living in a civilisation built on lies

I was reading Issen Dai's writings on parental control and my blood immediately runs cold at some of the sections.
I have chosen not to talk too much about Indian parental control, atleast in public, because my guess is it is a dangerous culture war topic. Maybe I will risk my neck and write this post anyway.
Ask who you are not allowed to criticise, and you shall find out who has power over you.
I still strongly believe that the reason many indians I meet are trapped in corporate job is because of parental control and status anxiety among their friends. If these two factors were removed, a significant fraction of these people would do something more interesting with their lives.
The first time you are subjected to authority is by your parents, and if you have accepted that, then by default you are also more prone to being subjugated by other forms of authority including the govt and religion and so on.
Even if people do choose to resist their parents, it is often a covert scheming sort of resistance, not an overt and honest one. And then you are also more prone to becoming a schemer in other aspects of your life, and never just telling the truth plainly.
[Unfortunately I will have to keep the rest of this note private.]

The original trigger for this post was yes, the post few days ago, on why do I need to make an inauthentic dating profile, why can't I just tell the truth, why is that not working out for me? (I am aware that this is a separate problem from the parental control thing, they are related problems but not the same problem.)

This is a rant post. This is not a solution-finding post. This post violates X Y rule.
