X: I read IITD yearbook in detail. Y: More motivated to go talk to more people

Hmm let's see how much is safe to write publicly here.
One reason I was happier in college was definitely more interaction with people.
It is interesting though. The types of comments I have received follow a pattern (honest, improving the world, very smart, willing to follow independent passions, etc). The types of comments I have given also follow a bit of a pattern (mostly curious about how these people will grow over time, as opposed to their current static version of themselves).
I am a bit disappointed though that all of these people are still stuck in corporate job whatever. I am leading a more interesting life than like 90% of these people. I somehow had more optimism that people are better than this, atleast back in 2023, but turns out they're not. So be it. Accept reality.
All in all I think reading the yearbook is just giving me motivation to a) connect again with some of them b) meet new people.
The vibes of the yearbook are so much warmer than my current personal website lol. On one hand, yes, obviously it is a biased view, people only write positive comments on a yearbook. But also, my guess is notes about interpersonal interactions tend to on average be warmer than notes from solo introspection.
