Don't ask yourself "are you okay" all the time?

- I seem to not be doing very well in life. So I am often carefully trying to track what actually makes me feel better and what doesn't.
- More than one person has pointed out that maybe this behaviour itself is making me feel worse.
- It is true that happy people aren't generally asking themselves if they are happy, because they don't need to. It is primarily unhappy people who ask themselves this question.
- One of the ways to be happy is to literally be in a flow state.
- Maybe the solution is to ask yourself less frequently? Like, pre-commit to check again after one week or one month or something, but try not to ask yourself this question every waking moment.
- I don't think this solution will work for me as of literally today (2026-02-09), but it is worth keeping at back of mind I guess
