I know I said no more solo introspection loop, go do stuff out in the real world, report results of only actual experiments. I will make an exception for this post because I think there's some chance it turns out important.
Mind sims based on past experience are far more accurate than mind sims not based on any past experience.
For instance, if I wanna think about what being in love with XYZ person will feel like, I am far more likely to get a realistic picture if I remember past experiences in life of being in love.
As opposed to if I generate a projection based on nothing. The projection could end up based on my anxiety, or my current lack of happiness in some completely unrelated domain in life, and so on - and most insidiously I would not realise that this is one of the drivers of the projection, unless I explicitly try to notice things like this (and often not even then).
