I would rather be in Kim Jong Un's shoes than my own

If someone gave me a button to press and I could just be in his shoes, I might press it.
I will have to kill atleast some of my family and friends. I will have to promise harems of sex slaves to my allies. I will have to make deals with African pharmaceutical manufacturers. I will have to sponsor crypto hackers. I will have to starve and brainwash my population. I obviously cannot be honest and speak the truth. I will have very few people I can trust, and will always be watching my back for which of my allies is going to attempt to screw me over next (and ofcourse I will then have to torture them as punishment).
In return for this torture inflicted upon me, I get nuclear weapons and a slice of control over the future.
A good part of me is genuinely fine with this trade. I would in fact butcher every single person I have ever loved, if I got absolute authority to use nukes in return. Power is worth that much to me, atleast as of now.
I am not in Kim Jong Un's shoes because I don't have the magic button, because suffering 10 years for a goal is much harder than just pressing a button, because I don't know how to get into his shoes even if I wanted to and was willing to suffer for 10 years for it, and because I seem to care about speaking the truth far too much to become a politician. Sad.
Oh also, I think Kim atleast to some extent genuinely likes inflicting pain on people. Whereas I want to use the necessary amount of violence, but nothing extra beyond that. (There are other world leaders who I won't name, who also are closer to my stance of "willing to kill many people if required but dont intrinsically enjoy killing people".)
