X: I scraped Bangalore Hinge. Y: Results are eye-opening

Not posting the full dataset or even the full counts (of how many in each subcategory etc) because I'm pretty confident this can be used to doxx people.
Some stats I am fine with posting publicly:
Scrape contains ~2000 women of which ~250 women are atheist or agnostic.
Scrape contains ~25 non-monogamous women. Majority of these are hindu or atheist.
For both atheist/agnostic and hindu, there is about a 50-50 split between longterm (life partner / longterm / longterm open to short) and (shortterm / shortterm open to long / figuring out). Lot of women have clicked "figuring out" I wonder if this is just a signalling game that means shortterm lol.
(assume plus minus 20% error bars on above figures)
250 atheist woman in Bangalore, period. This is a very small number. I have been upset all these months trying to optimise for such a small sample set? Insane.
Holy shit, this is making me rethink my whole life lmao. What have I been doing?
Another explanation is that there's something majorly wrong with my scraping script. I currently assign less than 25% odds of this, but like, it is possible since I haven't put much effort into the script.
I am completely wrong about my hypothesis that most people want shortterm, there are plenty of people who want longterm too.
For reference, here is census data. link to source -> ctrl+F "BBMP"
2000/1.4M = 0.1%. Only 0.1% of women in eligible age group are even on Hinge. Completely insane. (Obviously many of these are married or in a relationship or similar, but even then)
I see now why instagram ends up as a default dating app for non-trivial number of people. Oof
