• I will respect myself less as a person if my only hobbies were music and dance. Weak opinion, unsure. This is a prediction.
  • (This is regardless of whether I enjoy them or whether they make me happy or similar.)
• I will respect myself more as a person if my hobbies were ham radio and shooting and learning mandarin. Weak opinion, unsure.
• Learning massage sounds OK, atleast not an entirely useless skill. Will try and see how it goes.
• Why do women only learn useless hobbies?

I could fill Volumes with Descriptions of Temples and Palaces, Paintings, Sculptures, Tapestry, Porcelaine, &c. &c. &c. — if I could have time. But I could not do this without neglecting my duty. The Science of Government it is my Duty to study, more than all other Sciences: the Art of Legislation and Administration and Negotiation, ought to take Place, indeed to exclude in a manner all other Arts. I must study Politicks and War that my sons may have liberty to study Mathematicks and Philosophy. My sons ought to study Mathematicks and Philosophy, Geography, natural History, Naval Architecture, navigation, Commerce and Agriculture, in order to give their Children a right to study Painting, Poetry, Musick, Architecture, Statuary, Tapestry and Porcelaine.

• Useless meaning on the higher end of this scale. Where are the women who learn politics and war? I am sure they exist. I find it hard to believe this set is size zero. I guess they exist, the ratio is male-skeweed, that is all.
• I guess journalism skews female. Learning languages is also like half and half.
• Military / private security / espionage skews heavily male. Diplomats skew male but not as heavily. Politicians skew male. Billionaires skew heavily male.
• Therapy / psychology skews female, which is like, politics-lite. Tbh even music/art/dance can be used in politics, it is like politics lite version instead of hardcore persuasion.
• Is it basically that men lean towards using actual physical violence, and women lean towards persuasion / de-escalation, even during serious conflcits?

Looks like I already know that by Monday, I will just obtain a recording and then quit drums yet again. Nice. I have clarity.
