You have friends who don't have long-term goals and won't make it to the history books. You still like them or otherwise feel apathy for them, which is a step better than passionate enduring hatred

I reaffirm that yesterday's post is making an important point. Apathy and indifference are still better than passionate enduring hatred. A non-trivial fraction of the normies you hate so much are in fact similar to your friends. And you don't passionately hate your friends in the way you hate "society", at best you feel apathetic towards them.
Apathy is still better than hatred, because it means you can stop thinking about them at all, and focus on what is worth it instead. Whereas hatred consumes your attention and fixates you on these people, when you clearly don't like them much or want to become like them, or similar.
To be clear I dislike some of my friends too. I directly blame them for my death and for the destruction of all life on Earth. Their choice to pursue mediocrity and instant gratification has the darkest of consequences. But atleast with a friend, this "dislike" doesn't then end up ballooning into full blown passionate hatred, because there is side-by-side something I also like about the same person. (Probably part of why I befriended them in the first place.)
