# Dominance over the outgroup, prestige within the ingroup?

Just found this: [Dual strategies theory](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dual_strategies_theory)

Not sure how true this theory is. Assuming it is true though:

I want dominance over the outgroup. I want people at the AI companies to fear me. The reason I am not literally planning to assassinate their leaders right now is because there are more effective approaches to my goal, and not that I have some moral issue with it.

I want prestige within the ingroup. I want people in the anti-ASI political movement to respect me, because I am making them more effective at acquiring power.
