# Every ideology <strike> is retarded </strike> ... makes simplifying assumptions about human nature

 - I recently wondered how I could claim to be optimising for whole world's interests when I know sweet fuck all about what most people's thought streams actually look like. I can just observe their outwardly visible behaviour, use certain mental models (like maslow's hierarchy and so on) and make guesses.
 - But then, this is also true for any ideology in all of human history, that pretends to be optimising for the good of all of humanity.
 - This sort of thinking is actually more justification for the whole US founding father type logic, which is that you should just increase freedom for everyone.
 - Other ideologies - be it traditional religions, be it capitalism or communism, be it all insane leftist/anarchist/etc whatever, be it transhumanism, they all make simplifying assumptions about what humans actually want out of life.
