# Use AI with my website

Disclaimer
 - I still support a complete ban on frontier AI R&D. Using AI features does not mean I'm pro-AI.

## Philosophy

 - The broader thesis I'm betting on is that as long as the raw content is present in a folder, AI can do everything else with the content - simplify it, style it, translate it, do voiceover etc.
 - In general, for most features, check if Arc Max, Safari or Chrome natively support them, otherwise look for a browser extension.
 - I now consider it a waste of my time to work on these features
 - Within 1-3 years I expect Safari and Chrome to either implement these features or go obsolete. I think such features are implemented best by browsers, and not by individual websites, browser extensions, OSes, or local scripts (usually using screenshots).

## What I publish

 - Original content. See `samuelshadrach.com/raw/` for markdown, images, audio, video content. See `samuelshadrach.com/raw/text_english/` for just markdown content.
 - Singlepage. See `samuelshadrach.com/raw/misc/english_singlepage_{date}.md` for all my markdown content on a single page, so that AI can use the content without having to crawl it. I have also updated `robots.txt` to allow all crawls
 - Tarball. See `samuelshadrach.com/raw/misc/english_tarball_{date}` for all my markdown content in a tarball. You can download it and write bash scripts to do anything complex with it.

   - As of 2025-10, I haven't found video that is both realtime and high quality.
 - AI realtime voice chat (with my website content as context)
   - Use OpenAI realtime API with singlepage injected as content.
 - AI-generated audio voiceover (based on the content)
   - In Safari, Right click > Speech > Start speaking
 - AI-generated video (based on the content)
   - Write your own script to call the APIs, sorry! ffmpeg helps
 - AI crawling
   - perplexity.ai can crawl my website client-side.
   - Arc max can accept any webpage as prompt using keyboard shortcut.
 - AI-generated styling
   - Ask AI to generate a css stylesheet (font family, font size, line spacing etc).
   - In Safari, Safari > Settings > Advanced > Stylesheet
   - In Chrome, install greasemonkey to use inject js that will inject the stylesheet
 - AI-generated language translation
   - Arc max supports this
 - AI-generated summaries or simplified english
   - Safari, Arc max support this
 - Payments
   - Some APIs cost money to pay for GPU capex. I don't want to support payments.
