I am not a member of Pause AI

People working at Pause AI, the nonprofit org asked me to not use the phrase "Pause AI" in my writing. Main reason being I have advocated for some illegal actions and they would like not to be publicly seen as associated with me.

I find it mildly annoying to have to alter my writing style this way, but I am basically fine with this request.

(I was disappointed by this turn of events, but also, I get why this is happening, and don't assign moral blame on anyone for it.)

My response below.

1. In the future, I will use the phrase "AI pause" instead of "pause AI" to refer to the broader movement of people working to pause AI research. I think the movement at large consists of multiple orgs, and by default I am referring to the movement, not to any specific org.
2. I am not a member of Pause AI the nonprofit org, or speaking on behalf of anyone working there, or receiving funds from them, or otherwise affiliated with them in any non-trivial way.
