- "Why I am an atheist?" by Bhagat Singh
- "Letters from a father to his daughter" by Jawaharlal Nehru. Atleast the first few chapters on evolution.
- "Toward freedom" by Jawaharlal Nehru. Just do Ctrl+F 'religion' and read the relevant sections. "XXXVI What is religion?" section deals directly religion, communal riots, and Nehru's religious differences with Gandhi.
