My long-term plan

• I support a complete ban on building superintelligent AI for atleast next 10 years, with no exceptions for any actor. I think human extinction due to superintelligent AI wiping us out is possible by 2030. I also think a dictator could use superintelligent AI by 2030 in a way that ensures their rule is stable for centuries.
• I can accelerate towards a world with fewer secrets. I prefer information being in public, over a handful of companies and govts having sole access. I suspect small groups of colluding actors (such as govts, companies and religious institutions) will no longer be able to suppress individual freedom, if these actors lacked privacy themselves. Majority vote could still suppress individual freedom in such a world, and I am fine with this. See also: [1] [2] [3] [4]
