• I think I noticed enough things about it that match my experiences irl, that I'm inclined to upweight a lot of the advice it gives. Will look at it more seriously one of these days.

• Was watching his podcasts more, and like, I'm just sad. Okay, the both of them too are going to be murdered by ASI too, unless I do something about ASI risk.
• He puts a bunch of it in a very dating context, but I think some of this can be generalised to other contexts (like yes, creating anti-ASI political propaganda).
  • Although, in the anti-ASI propaganda though, I do still feel like you need a lot more violent moves. You need to complete break people's brains a lot more, and make them confront their own mortality (even though they desperately don't want to do that). The moves Jacob is endorsing feel too subtle for the type of thing I want to do.
  • Ugh I am again procrastinating on the other work because of the stuff around morality.
  • I don't know, I think explicitly saying you want someone with low grade of psychopathy might actually select for someone who is a much higher grade than you want. It's definitely going to trigger a bunch of non-violent people, that I can live with. I'm more concerned about who it'll attract.

Update

When I see a group start succeeding by actually dissolving the individual egos of its members, whether it’s through sheer force of ideology or with the aid of drugs and rituals, that one will have the power to take over the world. I know you’re not looking forward to this but I am.
