I have never been that obsessed with eating tasty food, as compared to many people I've met. That being said, I probably do care about it a non-zero amount.
Most recently, I think obsession with ASI risk is causing me to lose atleast some further interest in food, but I still prefer eating healthy food that is atleast a certain minimum level of okay taste.
I am vegetarian. I became so back in college for animal welfare reasons. It's a cheap sacrifice and I don't think too much about it. Spreading animal welfare-related values is not a high priority for me at the moment. Being vegan would be more work so I don't currently bother.
I seem to increasingly like spicy food nowadays, atleast once in a while. I think eating extremely spicy chilis from when I visited (and later lived) in northeast India, made me enjoy it more. I have tried extremely spicy food challenges (don't ask lol)
I have eaten primarily north indian food for most of my life, although I think I am quite adaptable in this regard. I was fine eating vegan vietnamese food while I stayed there for example, although the taste is very different. I also like european food (atleast the fake version sold in India metro cities), although I can imagine being bored if I had to eat that everyday. I really like fruit and yoghurt bowls though.
