Entrepreneurship plans

I am quite keen on entrepreneurship as a career choice. Whether that will be during college or after, I don't know.

Here are a couple of my current startup ideas.

If you're a web dev, do read them and share your feedback or perhaps team up with me :)

  1. Bot for Fallen London

Update: Scratch that. I've made the bot myself using selenium (remote webdriver provided by browserstack) and am running it on google cloud platform. Waiting for profit :)

Since it's a purely html-based text-only game, it shouldn't be too hard to write a bot for it. There is no captcha on the site. The cursor is not tracked either (as far as I can make out) so I doubt there are any anti-bot measures whatsoever.

Cider is auctioned on the site by the devs annually and the prices range between $1500 and $2000. Cider can be earned by grinding for 2-3 years, which could be done by the bot.

I feel the game is in a niche where it is not mainstream enough for the devs to worry about bots but at the same time holds good value for its community.

So the plan is to grind for cider on 3-4 accounts, then find people on the forums (especially previous year bidders) who'll be willing to buy. Then make the sales via middleman escrow sites online. Hoping for atleast $3000 profit this way.

I'm willing to all the researching on the game for optimal grinding as well as hunting for buyers on the forums. I just need someone with web automation skills to write the bot. We can split the profit 50-50.

I have contacted people on the forums and can possibly provide more proof of concept if required.

  1. Exam result prediction tool

I'm currently looking for a web dev interested in partnering with me and actually making this tool. I don't have money to pay you, I can only promise a percentage share (say 50%) in the company. If you're interested, do write to me.

  1. Highly customisable social networking tool

A problem I've noticed with most social networking sites I visit (reddit, discord, stackexchange, facebook, etc) is lack of customisation. The users want to use more features than what the devs have coded. So they find workarounds, create off-site resources, or just live without the features they want. I'm looking to create a networking platform with potentially limitless customisation that can be done by users who can't code (and ofcourse those who can too). Emphasis is on various levels of authority, a completely hierarchial model of organising people into groups and subgroups, etc.

I'm intentionally omitting the details here. This is something that will require a lot of investment and strategic marketing since it will only thrive with a large number of users already on it.

Hence it is not something I plan to attempt any time soon. But I have hopes for it in the future.
