My comment on Alexey Guzey's post

• Yes I literally posted this comment to him, and I think there's a high chance he read it. And I plan to preserve this here verbatim I think.

I am also a vaguely pro-capitalist person who also has had experiences similar to you. Drugs and prostitution are both illegal in my country, so I can't openly talk about either of them. So I cannot specify the exact details of what I mean when I use the word 'similar'. That being said, I think OpenAI is going to completely break capitalism if it builds ASI, and it is on track to kill literally billions of people, and that responsibility is in fact disproportionately on your head more than mine, because you work there. If you are considering resigning or whistleblowing, there's an actual guide for how to do so on my website. samuelshadrach.com Reading your post hurt me because it reminded me yet again that actually people very similar to myself, people with the same intellect and ambition and courage and empathy and who knows what other traits, are in fact my bitterest enemies now. Realising that people this similar to myself are capable of wrecking this much damage upon this earth is what makes me lose my faith in humanity the most.

• If I start a cycle of violence against you, atleast one rationalisation I am using is that you started the violence first. Not literally you, Guzey, but all the people at your company who think in certain ways.
